## Article

Review Door Attendant assignments separately when setting notification schedules or an on-call reception rotation.

## Source facts

UniFi Access doorbell receiver lists support scheduled recipients and sequential call groups. The guide separately states that Door Attendants always receive doorbell calls, even when they are not listed as receivers, their listed receiver schedule is inactive, or Notify Admins of Doorbell Rings is disabled. Door Attendants can mute calls through their mobile app. Ordinary administrators and users have other notification paths and settings, so changing a reader’s receiver schedule alone does not describe the entire notification audience.

## Applicability

Applies to the Door Attendant exception documented in UniFi Access doorbell call configuration. Verify role assignment and app settings; this article does not assume that all mobile notifications follow an identical schedule.

## DSE recommendation

DSE recommends reviewing Door Attendant assignments when establishing reception hours or an on-call rotation. Name the people who should receive calls outside the configured receiver window and document how temporary muting is used. Keep normal receiver schedules, broad administrator notifications, and Door Attendant behavior as separate checks. Train staff to report the role and device receiving an unexpected call so troubleshooting does not repeatedly edit a schedule that the role intentionally bypasses.

## Verification

With consenting test recipients, trigger calls inside and outside the receiver schedule and compare an ordinary recipient with a Door Attendant. Check the administrator-notification toggle and the attendant’s mute state independently. Record who actually receives each call and confirm the approved fallback still works after any role or notification change.
