Applicability

Confirm whether the current connection represents one host or an entire cluster. Identify the exact operation and its intended VM population before selecting rows. Treat resource measurements in the host view as a management perspective, not an application-readiness test.

DSE recommendation

Create an approved target list using stable VM identities and workload owners. Compare it with the selected rows immediately before executing a bulk action, especially for reset or deletion. Use a small representative pilot and agree on how partial completion will be handled. Preserve the initial VM states so the operator can distinguish expected results from a selection mistake.

Verification

After the approved action, inspect each target VM rather than relying on a single notification. Confirm its host, state, and required workload behavior. Check that an explicitly excluded VM retained its original state. Record failures and incomplete targets individually, and resolve them before repeating a bulk action against the whole set.
