Applicability

Use this for any Windows 11 fleet. Dates on the lifecycle pages are shown in Pacific Time and can change, so check the pages and confirm application compatibility before upgrading workstations that run line-of-business or security software.

DSE recommendation

DSE recommends moving Home and Pro devices still on Windows 11 24H2 to version 25H2 or 26H2 now, and Enterprise and Education devices off 23H2 before November 11, 2026. Report OS versions from management tools rather than relying on users, test video, access control and other line-of-business clients on the target version, and include kiosk and front-desk PCs that are easy to overlook.

Verification

After each upgrade wave, run a version report from Intune or other management tools, confirm no devices remain on versions past their end date, and confirm the devices receive monthly security updates.
