The Intune Samsung connector reports Connected after the service authorization completes. Each device still needs the Knox E-FOTA and Knox Service Plugin apps, the documented OEM configuration, and registration with Samsung. A user must open Knox E-FOTA and accept its terms to complete that device registration. The registration report refreshes hourly. Microsoft Learn.

Applicability

Use this readiness check for supported corporate Android Enterprise Samsung devices in the public-cloud integration. Confirm the service’s current device, access, network, and entitlement prerequisites separately.

DSE recommendation

Assign ownership for the device-side completion step before scheduling firmware campaigns. Track connector authorization, app/configuration delivery, and completed registration as separate milestones. Do not tell a staging team that every remaining action is unattended merely because the tenant connection succeeded.

Verification

On a representative device, inspect the required apps and configuration, complete the authorized registration interaction, and reconcile its status with the report’s last-update time. Then validate a bounded campaign using the approved firmware and device population. Keep a pending registration distinct from a failed firmware installation, and investigate a stale report before repeatedly resubmitting registration.
